We're only a couple of weeks away now from releasing the third single from the new album! Feel You With Me will be available on all streaming platforms and also for download from BandCamp.

Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to check out the first two tracks and the video clips, it's been a lot of work but as we head towards 12k streams from places as far away as Brazil and Finland, it feels like we're making progress.

We will have one more single out called Ancient History before the full album later in the year. All the tracks have come back from our mastering engineer Chris Gehringer from Sterling Sound in New York and it sounds amazing. Now it's ready for sequencing and off to the pressing plant so we have physical copies on LP and CD for the launch. More details on that to come…

We've got a show coming up next Sunday at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre, doing our Crowded House Songbook show that some of you may have caught at Lake Monger last year.

The show is from 2-4pm Sunday 8 September. There are still some tickets available here and we're  looking forward to a really chilled out afternoon. Courtney is planning on doing his best to play as much of the show as he can, as as you'll know if you've seen him along at one of our shows in the last few months, it's pretty special when he graces the stage.

His treatments are continuing and despite the pain and the lack of energy, he's taking it like an absolute champ.

We've also been working on some of our new tracks in the studio as well and there are some other cool things in the pipeline, we will keep you posted about.

Hope to see you all at a show sometime soon,

xxxTMB

BandCamp

A few people have contacted us about physical copies; we are working away on getting the final mixes for the rest of the album off for mastering, completing the album artwork etc and planning for a release later this year on CD and LP.

We're also getting the next single “Feel You With Me” ready for release in about 4 weeks, with another brilliant video clip directed by the amazing Mark Donohoe.

At the same time, we've started tracking the next album and the songs are sounding really strong.

We'll go and make you proud of us yet.

Thanks for the love,

Hi everyone

After the amazing response to the first single "Perfect Little Mess", we're really excited to share with you the second single off the new album, “Rise (I Believe In You)” which is out on all streaming platforms and YouTube next Tuesday, 6 August.

The track was written by Chris with longtime collaborator Travis Bryant and features Trav on guitar. Produced and engineered by Rob Agostini at Soundbaker and mastered by Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound in NY.

You can pre-save on Spotify here - https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/themurphybrothers1/rise-i-believe-in-you

We've got another incredible video clip to share with you as well, from our friend and mastermind Mark Donohoe. We filmed it one night with Clem on guitar and our good pals Kane and Matt Pountney on sound and incredible lighting. Thanks to Entour Productions for the unbelievable setup!

Otherwise, things have been busy- we're back in the studio with Rob putting things together for the next album, and working pretty hard to get this one across the line.

For those who have asked after Courtney, he's doing okay. He's back in for treatment and in good spirits although obviously his energy is quite depleted.

A teaser for the new video is up now on Facebook and Instagram, or you can check it out here on YouTube - https://youtu.be/euQ4LXQN2OE

Until next week, all our love.

We have new music!

Perfect Little Mess is out now on all streaming platforms Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music etc  and the response so far has been really positive.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to send us back a message, it’s been a long road to get to this point so it’s really great to not only be able to share it with the world, but to know that people like it as much as we hoped they would.

If you haven’t seen it yet, the song is accompanied by a new video you can watch onYouTube that we filmed in Leederville at Vicky Browns by Mark Donohoe.

It’s a really good clip, the best we’ve ever done. And yes, Courtney steals the show.

Don’t forget to do all that like and share stuff that helps get the algorithm working for us!

The next single is scheduled for and August release with the album due out later in the year.

As far as shows are concerned that all still very much up in the air as we support Courtney to navigate his illness and treatment, our priority needs to be on his health first and foremost.

Hopefully we will get the chance to hit the stage together sometime soon.

Until then, all our love xxx TMB

Very excited to share the news with you here first, we have a new single out 3 July!

Perfect Little Mess is the first single off our new album Something in the Water, due out later this year. Over the next couple of months we'll be releasing a few singles in the lead up to the full release.

Perfect Little Mess was produced engineered and mixed by Rob Agostini (Dido, Ronan Keating) at Soundbaker and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa) at New York’s famed Sterling Sound.

The song also features Robbie McIntosh (ex-Pretenders, Paul McCartney, John Mayer) on lead guitar.

Oh, and we’ve already started work on the next album.

Perfect Little Mess is accompanied by a new video filmed at Northbridge bar Vicky Browns by Mark Donohoe.

The Murphy Brothers

Hi everyone

We expect that most of you will have heard the shocking news of Courtney's recent cancer diagnosis by now.

To say that we are devastated would be something of an understatement.

But we also know that people from all over Australia have really come out in support of our brother.

And we can't put into words how grateful we are.

Courtney has always been a community man, and to see that same community having his back at such a tough time has been truly extraordinary.

It’s difficult for us to admit that Court has a long road ahead. His condition is advanced and very serious.

And while many people see him up on stage and on tv, the fact is, he's just an average guy family. Like many of us, he’s got a mortgage, bills and kids to feed.

Through our GoFundMe, we are trying and remove some of the financial stress his family is now faced with and allow him to focus on the fight ahead.

We wanted you to know that Court is going into this knowing he has your love and support.

As for our upcoming gigs and the new album, it's hard to say what the future looks like right now.

For those of you who have tickets to our Lake Monger Beatles show at the end of the month we are still planning on putting together a show but it's impossible to say at this stage whether Courtney will be able to be involved in any capacity.

Please keep him in your thoughts and we will keep you updated when we can.

All our love,

Chris and Kieran Murphy.

It’s been a while since we’ve been in touch.

For those of you weren’t aware, our beautiful Dad, Kim Murphy, passed away in January after a short illness.

Dad was there with us at the very beginning. In many ways, without him there would be no “The Murphy Brothers”.

Dad was able to join us - down the front where he deserved to be - for one last show in December. Thanks to the kindness of Ambulance Wish WA who helped get him from hospital to the Astor Theatre for what was a truly unforgettable night. Thanks to those of you who made it out and to everyone who has reached out to us since.

If you’d like to support Ambulance Wish WA in some way, visit their website Home - Ambulance Wish Western Australia or Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/ambulancewishwa They do incredible work.

Dad was also able to join us for one last session in the studio. Our producer, Rob Agostini, had grown used to Dad’s quiet, supportive presence in the studio. It was extremely special for us all to spend one more time listening to the progress of the new album.

Dad listened to the songs come together with update mixes we played him from his bedside. He really liked this one.

And so, we’ve been working on finishing the album he was so excited about and we look forward to releasing it this year. We’re at the mixing and mastering stage now and we’re looking to a couple of single releases in the next few months that will lead into the full album - one is the the lead single from the album, the other is a standalone tribute to Dad.

We can’t wait to share them with you.

We’re looking toward some great shows coming up too, starting with a Sunday evening open air show at McLean Park in Floreat on 10 March from 5-7pm. More details here - Sunset Beats - McLean Park

We’re also planning another special evening on the (bowling) green show at Lake Monger Rec Club on Saturday April 27 in the same vein as the Crowded House show we did there last year. This one feels like a good fit for us. We'll be performing the Beatles Songbook. Tickets on sale very soon.

More details to come…

All our love

Chris, Kieran and Courtney Murphy

Thanks to everyone who came out to help celebrate the launch of the new album last week, the response has been truly humbling and certainly makes the eight year slog to get this thing over the line a little more bearable!

The album is now available on CD and vinyl in our online store here on the website, and also as a download from BandCamp and streaming from Apple and Spotify (but as most of you would know, we make almost no money from streaming services).

Because it took so long to release a new album, we thought it was only fair to release two! Our new live album -entitled LIVE is also available in the web store, from BandCamp and the usual streaming services.

We've also got some nice t-shirts and hoodies you can order with the smashing gold logo on them...check them out now!

We'll be working on promo, videos and more live gigs in the coming weeks and months so please stay connected and spread the word!

xxx Kieran, Chris and Courtney.

Just a super quick update to let you know that our brand new album is mixed, mastered and delivered to the vinyl and CD pressing plants and should be available by Late July/early August!

We will have resales available here on the site very soon and a special iin-store appearance for Record Store Day (July 17) in the works!

Details of our launch gig will be finalised in the next couple of months and we have a lot planned going forward, including a new video clip, a special limited edition LIVE album and heaps more.

Thanks for sticking with us lovely people. We won't let you down.
